A DOE Approved Specialist Program

Department of Education Endorsed

West Australian Football Commission Endorsed

One of only 6 schools in the state to have Department of Education and West Australian Football Commission endorsement.

The Specialist Australian Rules Football Program runs over a period of six years. A commitment to this program still allows time for students to continue with their own local football team, and also being able to follow both VET and ATAR pathways into Senior School.

Students have the opportunity to develop decision making, game sense, physical presence and fundamental football skills and be involved in nutrition, injury management and prevention programs.

Highlights of the program include numerous football competitions against other schools, with the possibility of travelling to WA country towns and interstate, for selected matches as well as travelling internationally.

Coaching is provided by a Level 2 accredited coach, with experience in coaching at State level, as well as WAFL Development Squad level. The coach is also currently an Australian Rules Football ATAR examiner.

How to apply

The initial application for enrolment for the program is by an Expression of Interest followed up by a skill trial.

Students wishing to apply for this program need to contact Warwick Senior High School on 08 9345 6430 to request an application package and for information on trials. All students must meet criteria for selection and maintain academic and school behaviour standards to remain in the program.
