Warwick Senior High School Board

The role of the School Board is to ensure Warwick Senior High School is governed well as an Independent Public School. The composition of Board members brings together a range of perspectives, knowledge, skills and experience which contributes to the good governance of the school. The Board comprises parent representatives, staff representatives and community members. Some community members are attracted to the Board as people working in partnerships with the school, wishing to extend their support of the school. Other community members are former students or staff members who have been shaped by their time at the school and are keen to give back to the Warwick Senior High School community.

Community member

I am a long term community member with a passion for developing our local communities and in particular our schools.   For the past four years I have been working as a Community Development Worker at the Child and Parent Centre – Roseworth. In addition, I am a Nurse at St John of God Hospital in Midland and I was an active member of the Roseworth P & C and School Board until 2016.

As a member of the Warwick School Board I believe that it is essential that we work in partnership with our families to improve educational outcomes for our communities. I have learnt that through greater engagement with our families the greater the opportunities for developing meaningful relationships with the school, which will help all children, continue to develop aspirations for their futures.

Lesley Wintle

Principal | Warwick Senior High School

In 39 years in education I have been a teacher of Science (Chemistry and Physics) and the principal of three secondary schools (Cannington, Belmont and Warwick). I am committed to leading my school in providing a high-quality education for all students and to facilitate a positive future for each and every child. With Independent Public School status, Warwick Senior High School has the opportunity to shape the educational learning and development program to suit the specific needs of our students and to provide opportunities other schools do not offer by understanding the aspirations of young people and inspiring them to grow. The experience and ideas Board members bring to our school adds further insights and opportunities to make our school even better.

Associate Principal | Warwick Senior High School

I am delighted to be able to take up a position on the Warwick Senior High School Board.  I am a passionate supporter of public education and believe we address the many different facets of our students, and work with all students to become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.  I am also an active community member sitting on the Board of a local Primary School,  and volunteering for several neighbouring sporting clubs.  I always welcome open and honest communication and encourage parents, students and community members to contact me with anything they would like to discuss.
