Kobe Wyatt, Malcolm Garlett, Latoya Chase and Jaylee Woodley from Warwick SHS, along with Chareuse and Cherry from Duncraig Senior High School, are currently taking part in the Certificate I in Leadership course with the Police and Community Youth Centre (PCYC).
During the course the students need to undertake 20 hours of volunteer work and recently completed the painting of the six seasons poles and dug and cleared out the area for our new yarning circle. This is part of our focus on Indigenous Culture at Warwick.
NAIDOC Day celebrations at Warwick wouldn’t have run so smoothly this year without the help and dedication of these students by taking on a leadership role.
