During the July school holidays ten Warwick students gave up their break to participate in Workplace Learning, to help them meet the requirement of the TAFE course they are enrolled in.
The Year 12 group have now finalised their required hours and will receive an extra certificate when they leave school. They have gained valuable skills and were a credit to the school. This placement will be of assistance towards their future career pathways when they leave school. A small group of Year 11 students took up the opportunity to work with a business for the full two weeks, in a work placement.
The feedback from employers was that they were very happy with the work ethic and dedication of the students involved and found them to be an asset to their businesses.
During Term 3, Year 11 VET students will participate in the Workplace Learning program every Friday. These students have completed their induction and are looking forward to this new experience.
