Warwick chosen to trial pilot program

The State Government plans to launch a Government Agency Work Placement Register which will be a website through which schools can view placements advertised by government agencies, for senior school students undertaking vocational education and training. Warwick Senior High School was invited to participate in the pilot program in Semester 2 2020.  Full state wide implementation is planned for 2021.  Holly Dalliston, Year 12, was the first student to take up the opportunity and completed over 55 hours of work experience in the Director General’s office at the Department of Training and Workforce Development.  Holly completed Certificates II and III in Business and Certificate II in Community Services over the course of Year 11 and 12.

Two Year 11 students, Isabelle Clements and Chloe Geard, spent two weeks of their holidays working for the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries at the Ern Halliday Recreation Camp. Both girls are currently studying Certificate II in Community Services.

We congratulate these students on winning these prestigious placements.
