Year 9 Applied Engineering blasts off

The new Applied Engineering course was launched at the beginning of this year. Students started the course by working in teams to complete their first STEAM challenge. They were required to construct a rubber band powered foam rocket and use it to investigate the trajectory relationship between the launch angle and the range achieved, in a controlled investigation.

It was great to see the students immerse themselves in the new course and the foam rocket activity, which enabled them to improve on their STEAM skills that are vital for their future.
