It has been a great start to the second half of the year at Warwick SHS. I am very happy to return from my term of long service leave and am feeling very refreshed and ready to resume my role as Principal.
It is very pleasing to see that the West Coast SESC has successfully moved onto the site, and feedback from their relieving Principal, Mrs Joanne Kriziotis, and some of their key staff, is that they are very pleased with the welcome extended by the Warwick staff and students, and particularly the acceptance by our students of the West Coast students into the shared site. I must concur that it is a delight to see how well the students have mixed from the start, and I was always confident that it would be successful.

WA Education Awards 2018
Congratulations to the four Warwick staff who are now finalists in the WA Education Awards (see separate items this newsletter). These awards are keenly contested and coveted amongst public schools. To have four Warwick staff as finalists in separate categories is outstanding. Judges will visit our school over the next few weeks and talk to staff, students and parents about each person, to validate the claims we have made in the initial nomination. I wish each person every success, and I know form their work at this school they will be highly competitive in their category.
