In Term 3, Year 8 Textiles students created mobile phone cases from felt. Students have investigated how the world’s oldest fabric is made and created their own felt square from scratch, using Merino wool fibres.

Students were tasked with designing a phone cover, and then using blanket or running stitch to hand stitch their designs on to the cover.  The phone case required a button for closure, which then gave students the added advantage of learning how to sew a button on, in case in the future their shirt loses one.  The students did a great job and should be proud of their work.
