In windy and stormy conditions the Year 7 students had mixed results across all codes. Football, netball, boys’ soccer, girls’ and boys’ basketball represented the school with pride, good spirit and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all players, coaches and umpires and especially to the teachers who went along to supervise for the day.
The boys’ soccer team played with one player less all day and resulted in 2 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. Riley Chapman scored 4 goals while Vincent Do was superb at keeping the pressure on the opposition throughout the day. All players worked extremely hard and rotated through various positions during the games. Thanks to Aiden Frodsom and Milan Tosevski for assisting with umpiring and coaching. All students should be very proud of their efforts.
Congratulations to the Year 7 Basketball boy’s and girls’ teams for a great day of competition.
The girls’ team played their first game and then continually improved throughout the competition. They won 3 of 5 games and contributed with full participation and effort. The team were accompanied by two Year 10 students, Wade and Boston, who coached them throughout the day. The boys were supportive and provided valuable feedback to the girl’s team to help them continually improve their game.
The boys’ Basketball team won their first game and were also coached throughout the day to help them improve. Well done to all!
Netball teams participated in the round robin carnival with the Division 1 team winning. Division 3 were 3rd and Division 4 and 5 won and lost some games, but over all had a great day and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the carnival.
A big thank you to our Year 11 and 12 helpers. They were fantastic and coached and umpired extremely well.
