In Geography, Year 7 students are learning about the ‘Water Cycle’ and the processes involved in this cycle. Students are learning that the water keeps going around and around the atmosphere and the earth in a process we call the Water Cycle.
There are four processes involved in this: evaporation, condensation, precipitation and infiltration. Students were very interested in the process of evaporation and as such we conducted an impromptu experiment where we placed a beaker of water outside and measured the amount of water that was evaporated during our lesson. It was great to see the new Year 7 students so keen to immerse themselves into their learning and initiate this activity.
