On Monday 9 March our Student Council, as well as some future leaders from Years 7, 8 and 9, attended the Halogen National Young Leaders Day at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

We heard from four amazing speakers:

  • John Coutis, on living fully despite not having the lower half of his body;
  • Eamon Sullivan, on transferring his world record breaking swimming career into a successful business empire;
  • Dana Hooker, on being a female athlete and a mum in the blossoming AFLW;
  • Lachlan Smart, on the many obstacles he overcame as he became the youngest person to fly solo around the world.

Our students learnt about leadership and adversity, and will hopefully use some of this knowledge to make Warwick Senior High School an even better place for us all.
