The Year 10 Netball team returned victorious from their recent Goal Coast Carnival tour with a Grand Final win against Atwell, with the score 22 to 15.

The girls came out strong with an 8 goal lead at half time and maintained quality netball in the second half. Congratulations to Charmondelae for being given the ‘Barbarian’ award for our team. She was recognized for her positive energy and attitude both on and off the court, helping to lift her teammates morale.

Our 9 day tour came and went before we knew it. It was jam packed with a variety of activities including:

  • 4 days of netball games
  • a whole day of a Rugby 7s carnival. Our girls received a special mention for being the only netball team to enter the carnival and give it a go. (Miss Wintle would be proud!)
  • a day out at Movie World. Shout out to Bridget for facing her fears and going on the ‘Joker’ rollercoaster
  • pool and beach recovery after netball
  • the celebration of Brooke’s 16th birthday
  • a visit to the Australian Outback Spectacular Showshopping trips to Pacific Fair and Harbour Town
  • netball and rugby combined beach games
  • team games and sandcastle competitions
  • prepping and cooking their own breakfast, lunch and dinners and washing and drying their clothes throughout the week.

Thank you to the girls for an awesome week. They were fantastic company, went with the flow, played strong netball and represented our school beautifully.

We could not be prouder!!
